Prevent This A Simple Guide To Beat Disease edition by Cindy Fuchser Professional Technical eBooks Reviews
I read Prevent This and found this book to be written from the heart and very helpful. The author clearly has the reader in mind throughout the book telling the problems caused from eating poorly. Eating poorly applies to over 90% of the population, I am sure. In any case, the author is a qualified nurse of many years who has seen the consequences of eating poorly as it affects one's health. Furthermore, at a young age, the author researched the benefits of eating healthy and redirected her life to eat healthy. Prevent This presents the side effects of modern medicine and that the cures it promotes do not always lead to a pleasant outcome for patients. The only real path to living a rewarding and active life throughout one's life is to eat healthy. This book impresses this point time and time again. Prevent This provides direction on where to go from having read this book so that one may life an enjoyably healthy life free of prescription drugs, surgeries, prosthetic devices and regular treatments. It is a quick and easy read which I found very interesting. For the price, you can not beat it! Get a copy and share it now and reap the rewards of having read it.
If you are interested in improved health, then Prevent This is a must read. The author definitely knows what she writes about. She has dedicated her life to the well-being of others. She is devoted to research. I know, because she is my sister.
Several years ago, Cindy gave me a copy of a book (The China Study) because she believed the content would lead me to change my life in a way that would improve my health. Due to disinterest, I made the mistake of placing the book on a shelf, and I forgot about it. Years later, a movie (Forks Over Knives) caused me to pull the book from the shelf and to begin to discover what Cindy wanted me to know, years ago. Finally, I began to make those necessary changes, and I began to realize better health.
My endorsement of Prevent This is based upon its content, and not my relationship with its author. Prevent This is a quick, easy read, in terms that anyone can understand. Yet, it is packed full of information that will cause you to re-read, and save it for reference.
The information is tailored to aid anyone wishing to adopt a standard of healthier living. Those previously defeated in their quest for good health through the medical establishment will find hope and opportunity in Prevent This.
Prevent This offers the reader a preview of future health based upon choices that we all make in specific areas that affect our health and well-being.
In Prevent This, Cindy explains how many ailments are linked to others that we may or may not know even exist. She explains why the medical establishment usually overlook these links, and why they often treat patient's symptoms with endless regimens of pharmaceutical drugs. She also reveals what is needed to cure many of these ailments. She provides sound advice for people considering invasive procedures, including investigation of non-invasive, safer, less expensive and more effective methods of curative treatment.
Prevent This may save your life. I t will certainly improve it. Of this I am confident!

This book is a must-read. It addresses the most vital of human topics increasing our health-span in addition to our life-span. What makes this book more compelling than most health books is that it is written by a critical care nurse who is also a health coach who takes meticulous care of her own health. She is witness both to health at its worst and health at its best. From this perspective, she convincingly urges her readers to avoid the worst by maintaining a healthy lifestyle. And she gives you the basic tools to do just that.
From the start, the author draws you in. Loudly and clearly, she delivers the message Our medical system has lost its way! She concedes that Western medicine is proficient at repairing bodies that are badly broken. But she points out that repair is not the same as health. Health can only be achieved through living a healthy lifestyle. Health cannot be achieved by pills, bypass surgery or tummy-tucks. What's more, the conditions she ministers to daily can be prevented by living healthy. Western medicine lost that message a long time ago.
The author's ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience informs this book throughout. She describes several common chronic medical conditions associated with ill-health, often bringing people like us close to death. These conditions too-often necessitate hospital procedures designed to save our lives. This is where her health coach experience informs us that these chronic--and often terminal--conditions need not occur that extraordinary, yet seemingly standard ICU procedures, can often be avoided. The key to this is healthy eating and wise activity.
The most practical part of the book is the author's sharing of her extensive knowledge of various principles and methods for achieving and maintaining health. With this information alone, the reader can begin their journey towards improved health. A self-professed "sweet tooth", the author provides recipes for "guiltless deserts." She also provides several sources so that the reader can go even further on their journey.
Although this book is chock full of vital information, it is concise, compellingly written, and enjoyable to read. The author's writing is heart-felt, but never sentimental. You will be placed in her shoes throughout her journey, which will rapidly become yours. The journey is a worthy one To enjoy health, inspiration and beauty well-into old age.
